      Quite the creature, and I’m amazed how close you got. I would have thought it was called the goat-bear too, haha. I believe its the Japanese serow (Capricornis crispus or Naemorhedus crispus), also known as the Nihon kamoshika. Do I get an e-high five!?!

      • nice work callie! e-high five! apparently they are all over the Japan Alps, and we yeah we got quite close to this guy. maybe 75 feet or so. i wanted to pet him.
