To the Ocean
A willow-lined canal crisscrossed with bridges, kimono-clad visitors hopping between the town’s seven onsen, a rainy beach walk, an amazingly friendly innkeeper, fat flakes of snow, and king crab fresh from the Sea of Japan. There was nothing not to love about our 24 hours in the coastal town of Kinosaki.
Oh yeah, and beef sticks.
My jealousy for your adventures is exponentially outweighed by how proud and happy I am to call you two my friends. Journey onward! Sarah is delivering hugs to you both, from me!

More great pictures! It wouldn’t have been complete without the beef sticks!

Thanks for the Japanese adventure – now ship those skiis off and send us pictures of somewhere green. The winter is long enough around here! Good to see some of you 2 also.
Enjoy the remainder and good luck with the traveling and may that leg goes as well……
Love Dad

Hi Guys, I just got a chance to catch up on you through the blog tonight. So unbelievable what you guys are seeing. Have seen Jesse and Alexa and Lily a couple times this week. We miss you! They loved talking with you the other night. I’m sure the disaster in Japan is weighing a little heavily on you. Not to be selfish, but we are obviously so thankful you were not there still!Daniel and Elizabeth were both home for spring break and left today. Had a nice time with them. Love you guys!
